FACL offers a range of high quality courses, delivered in the heart of local communities and at times to suit your needs. Learning is provided to help you gain a new skill, re-connect with learning, pursue an interest, learn how to support your children better or progress into further learning, volunteering and employment. We aim to make learning accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their income therefore, many of our courses are offered free of charge or at subsidised rates. All courses are funded by the Skills Funding Agency, which may be used as match funding for the European Social Fund. Family Learning

Family learning provides opportunities for parents, carers, grandparents and their children to learn together in a fun, engaging environment. Topics range from ceramics to science, football fitness or book projects and English or maths. This type of learning re-enforces relationships, improves confidence, health and behaviour and develops important functional skills.

Whether you are a complete beginner or wanting to enhance your skills, there are a wide variety of courses available. Why not try bag making or batik, ceramics or crafts and sewing or sugar-craft? Creative courses not only help you develop new skills, they can help build your confidence and improve your wellbeing.
